Sandiwwod Farm

Another Harvest Hosts site! Bob and Sara Schlosser have been growing organic produce and making maple syrup using traditional methods for over thirty years. They've recently branched out and are growing organic hemp and cannabis that is processed into CBD salves and tinctures. We interacted mostly with Sara who is very sweet and friendly.

The turn for the Harvest Hosts camping area is just before the small barn. Camping is okay anywhere in the large field. The field slopes downhill and since rain was in the forecast again so we stayed up by the barn.

We were hoping to buy some local cheese but they didn't have any in stock. We did buy a couple zucchinis, tomatoes, and a jug of maple syrup. We haven't tasted the maple syrup yet but the zucchinis were good. I had high hopes for the tomatoes because they were heirloom but they were almost tasteless. It's been a long time since we've had a homegrown, flavorful tomato!

The road to the farm is dirt for the last 1.5 miles - a bit washboard but in good condition otherwise. Farm  44.57375, -72.45979
