Lewis & Clark National Historic Trail Interpretive Center

We've been to many museums with exhibits about the expedition led by Lewis and Clark. This is one of the best - excellent displays and interesting details. The entire journey is covered with a bit of an emphasis on the Great Falls portage and events that occurred in Montana and the adjacent states.
The museum is accessible. This is also a good place to access portions of the River's Edge Trail. We did not go on it because of cool, very windy weather but the majority of it is paved and the section on the bluff is fairly level.

The parking lot has long RV/bus spaces.

  1. We've been to this fabulous museum (and we've ridden on the bike trail) -- and we enjoyed Great Falls.
