The Kiwanis Club maintains a large grassy rest area with picnic tables- some under shelters- and a restroom. There isn't a charge for camping although they do have a donation box. Stays are limited to ten days. The rest area is sandwiched between US 87 and the municipal airport. The planes are small and infrequent and traffic on the road dies down at night.
