Joseph Smith Farm
Joseph Smith, the founder of the Morman Church, moved to this farm as a boy with his parents and siblings in 1818. They built a log house, a frame house, and outbuildings. The buildings have been reconstructed in their original sites and are shown by guided tour. You can walk the trail on your own and read the interpretive signs but the buildings are locked.
Nothing except the welcome center where the tour begins is accessible. The trail is loose gravel which is very hard to push along and all of the buildings have steps.
The parking lot is large enough for RVs. Farm
