North Dakota Heritage Center

The Heritage Center has four galleries - Adaptation Gallery: Geologic Time, Innovation Gallery: Early Peoples, Inspiration Gallery: Yesterday and Today, and Governors Gallery: Temporary and Traveling Exhibits. We didn’t realize this and spent all of our time in the Inspiration Gallery which covers the history of North Dakota. We were wondering why there was just a small mention of the Native Americans until we discovered that there was an entire gallery dedicated to them. This is an excellent museum that we will visit again to see the galleries that we missed.
The museum is accessible. Some of the lighting in the Inspiration Gallery is very low so visitors with vision problems may have have difficulty reading the information boards.

RV parking is available in the lot on the east side of the museum.  Museum  46.81828, -100.77817
