Morton County in North Dakota has 15 parks. Most are near water and have free primitive campsites with vault toilets. A few also have electric hookups.
We loved this free, primitive site at Danzig Dam. It’s fairly level with plenty of shade, a table, and fire ring. There are two more sites with tables plus room for RVs and tents in the surrounding grassy areas or in the large gravel lot by the boat ramp. Flies - small houseflies not big biting flies - were kind of annoying when we visited. Hopefully they’re just a seasonal thing.
The ground is hardpacked so rolling is fairly easy.
Any RV can fit in the campground. The best route is Exit 120 from I-94, north on Route 86, and west on 36th Street. The gravel roads are slightly washboard but mainly in very good condition. Campground 46.89419, -101.60507
