Deadman Hole Recreation Site

The BLM and the Idaho Department of Fish and Wildlife have built a series of small campgrounds along the Salmon River. The ones with shade can be busy in the summer. This one, with no shade at all and only a boat ramp to provide access to the river, had only one site occupied during our visit.

Amenities include picnic tables with shade shelters, vault toilets, potable water, and a boat ramp. Since the campground is right next to Hwy 75 there’s road noise but it dies down at night. Campground  44.34591, -114.26721

It's pretty country but very hot at this time of year.

    1. I am more than 10 days late with my blog posts. We missed all of the fires and are in the UP of Michigan - clear skies and cool temperatures.
