The sites are large enough for most RVs and it’s a peaceful, quiet spot. The dirt access road passes by a private home and business so drive slowly to avoid raising dust.
I’ve made a mystery for myself with this campsite. I like to put an official link on each post but I can’t find anything online for Carmen Creek. I have no idea how I found the site ?? so no link. 45.2294, -113.89137
That's just up the road (or down the road, depending on your direction of travel) from the very similar Lemhi Hole fishing access spot on the north side of Salmon. The vault toilet has murals of fish inside.
ReplyDeleteWe stopped there too because it's a little closer to Salmon but decided to stay at Carmen Bridge where it's more private and not as dusty. I would have liked to the fish murals!
DeleteOne early autumn (maybe 2013?) we found an empty campground on the Salmon, pulled in (nobody around), discovered the camp host site still had power, so we made ourselves at home for the night! Another rig pulled in, but they didn't bother us nor vice versa. Did it have a name? Probably, but it's lost now! :-)
ReplyDeleteLove little surprises like that!
