American Bald Eagle Foundation

017 copy

Hundreds of bald eagles come every November to the Chilkat River near Haines to feed on the late run of chum salmon. The foundation was formed to rehabilitate injured eagles and to educate the public about eagles. It’s expanded into a wildlife center with information about other Alaskan animals. The entrance fee seems a little high ( $10.00 ) for such a small place.

  Everything is accessible.

The parking lot is large enough for any RV. Museum
