Lauren Rogers Museum of Art

023
Lauren Rogers was being groomed to move into a position in the family lumber business when, at 23, he died from complications of appendicitis. The distraught family built a library and museum in his memory. The library now holds local history and art volumes only. The museum collections were donated by the Rogers family and other prominent local families and include Native American basketry, paintings by American and European artists, Japanese wood block prints, and sterling silver serving sets. A large gallery on the lower level hosts traveling exhibits. If you have time take a docent led tour.

Everything is accessible.

Free parking is available along the street in front of the museum. Museum
