Lattin Farms-Harvest Hosts

Rick and B. Ann Lattin have been farming on this land since 1977. They started with alfafa and grains and now grow a variety of organic fruits and vegetables. Preserves, pickled vegetables, pasta sauces, salad dressing, honey, and baked goods are available in their store.  We met some of the employees but not the owners. Everyone was very nice and willing to answer any questions that we had.

Overnight parking is in a large dirt lot which can be dusty when the wind blows. There’s a grassy lawn with trees, old farm equipment to examin,e and small animals to visit. The road is busy so there’s some traffic noise.

The store is accessible. The lot is hard packed dirt and easy to roll along. The area with the farm equipment and the animals has soft, loose dirt and is not accessible.

    1. I'm not sure Dave. We have to head back to PA and don't want to get such a late start that it'll be cold when we get there. Because we go so slow as you know!
Keep an eye on us just in case, We'd love to meet up with you guys again!
Enjoy your time in Alaska - it looks like you're having a great trip!

  3. Yes, indeedy, we know Lattin Farms can be dusty, especially when they're plowing! Hope you enjoyed your stay there.

    1. We did enjoy our stay! I saw that you and another person mentioned the dust so we parked in the lot that looked like it got the least use by the employees. Fortunately they were not plowing and we didn't have a problem. We're pretty dirty anyway right now from driving on dusty roads. Need to find a high car wash!
