We ventured down Bumping River Road in search of a boondocking spot but all of them were already occupied or too small. After about six miles we came to Soda Springs Campground which was a fine spot for the night. We had our choice of campsites and picked shade over a river view. A arched pedestrian bridge crosses the river and provides access to trails.
None of the sites specifically designated as accessible but most are usable. The tables have extended tops and the ground is hard packed for easy rolling. The trails are not accessible.
Some of the sites are long enough for any RV. Campground 46.92559, -121.21633
I wonder how the road leading to Soda Springs was? Bumping River Road sounds bumpy. :-) Shade is paramount in summer!
ReplyDeleteThe road was in great shape! I was surprised that it was paved. The river was bumpy though.:-D
