Housed in a former U.S. Post Office and Federal Court House, this museum has an odd combination of hands-on exhibits, snakes and other reptiles, and local history. The exhibits are a bit sparse so it doesn’t take much time to see and do everything.
The wheelchair ramp is located near the front entrance. Do not use the ramp in the parking lot at the rear of the building. Most of the hands-on exhibits are not accessible to visitors using wheelchairs. The elevator buttons are a little too high to be easily reached.
The parking lot is small and has a steep entrance but RVs can be parked on Douglas Street. Museum 35.72385, -77.90996
You all going to Raleigh? My baby sister Lisa lives there. You met her at Ted's wedding last year.
ReplyDeleteI thought about taking a detour to Raleigh but decided to keep heading south to warmer weather. Ted's wedding was so much fun!
