Aeneas Lake Primitive Camp -WDFW
The Washington state Discover Pass entitles pass holders to free camping at designated Department of Fish and Wildlife sites. Camping at Aeneas Lake is on a ridge overlooking the little lake. A large flat area, covered with wildflowers and sagebrush, has enough room for five or six campers with plenty of space between them. For the best spot drive past the vault toilet to the end of the dirt road. It’s also possible to camp close to the lake but that area is busy with locals swimming and fishing. There’s no shade so it will be very hot in the summer.
