Alexander Graham Bell NHS

012
The money from the success of the telephone gave Bell exactly what he craved – time to experiment with other inventions. He and his wife built a large summer home near Bras d'Or Lakes where he built experimental kites, airplanes, and a hydrofoil boat. The original hydrofoil was stored outdoors for years and deteriorated to a degree but has been conserved by the museum. A complete full scale replica is also on display.

  The visitor center/museum is accessible.

Long RV parking spaces are located in the upper lot. A steep path leads down to the visitor center entrance.  A handicapped parking lot is located nearer the entrance. Small RVs will fit in the car spaces. Parking in the bus spaces may be possible.  Museum
