Gnat Creek Campground

001
Update 2023 - this is a tent only site so RVers may be booted out

Of all of the campgrounds where we’ve stayed, this one, with only three sites, tops the list as the smallest. It’s easy to get to, less than 1/4 mile from US 30, quiet and peaceful during our weekday stay but most likely busy on the weekends. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, a vault toilet and trash cans.

Site 1, pictured above, is the best. Site 2 is deeper in the forest and next to the trail to Gnat Creek therefore in the path of foot traffic. Site 3 is close to the toilet and vehicle traffic.

The sites and the toilet are accessible. The trail to the creek is not.

The website states that the campground is walk-in tenting but site 1 and 2 are right next to the large parking lot so it’s fine for RV camping too.  Campground

  2. Wow. Just found your site through Cheap RV Living.
Great stuff! Thank you so much for all the info and taking the time to develop such a great site.
I am preparing for fulltiming myself, and have been pondering the map situation myself. So many bloggers document their travels and experiences at different campsites boondocking, it seems a shame there is not one good location for everyone to share info...
Can maps from google maps be merged together?
