We visited this museum years ago when it was in a crowded storefront with exhibits that were mainly newspaper clipping of the mysterious events that occurred in July 1947 near Roswell, New Mexico. The new location in a renovated movie theater is so much better. I was happy to see that the wonderfully funky, full-size, alien creations made the move and are ready for photo ops.
The museum is accessible but the pavement at the entrance is sloped and the doors open outward making entering a bit difficult. We didn't visit the library.
RVs will fit in the lot if parked through the spaces. Street parking is also available. Museum 33.39331, -104.52286
This has always been on my bucket list to see. Some day I hope. Long time follower, might be my first comment. I always enjoy your post. Vern@ Boise Id.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Vern! And for following. :)
DeleteIt's a fun little museum.
That's the museum I saw when I was in Roswell, it was neat.
ReplyDeleteWere they aliens? Was there a government coverup? Did it have anything to do with the Air Force base? We'll never know. :D
DeleteToo many alien stories from the people who where there before the brass showed up, after that we have questions.. I'm guessing real. (But that guess doesn't cost me anything one way or the other..).
DeleteAre you in a position to see the eclipse today? I was in Vancouver WA for the last total eclipse, I'm in FL and it won't be total.
We're in San Antonio so it won't be total, about 99%. It's going to be overcast so I don't know how much we'll see. It might just get dark.
DeleteWe were in Idaho for the last one. Nice sunny day with a 360-degree open horizon so we had a great view of the eclipse and a 360 degree sunrise. It was pretty spectacular.
