Bosque Redondo Lake Camping

This is a community park with a playground, ball field, picnic shelters with tables, grills, trash cans, and vault toilets in the picnic area only. No drinking water. The lake is very small but it's stocked so there are usually a few people fishing. There are no rules posted at the park and I can't find anything official online but all of the internet camping sites have it listed. Nobody has reported any problems. That's good enough for us!
The main camping area is on the west side of the lake. There are five shelters along the lake and two in the meadow. I think camping at other spots in the meadow is okay if the shelters are all taken. There's a lot of room between the shelters. We camped with our friend Rick, on opposite sides of a shelter, and were still far away from the other shelters. Camping in the picnic area seems to be okay too but it's heavily used by day visitors so anyone camped there may find themselves surrounded at times.

For the best access take the dirt road at the south end of the lake. This goes right to the main camping area and circles around the lake to the picnic area. It also loops around the meadow.

The picnic tables have extended tops. The ground is hard packed but lumpy. The road is in good condition but rough for rolling. Camping  34.43164, -104.21273
