Pit River Falls Overlook
The Pit River cuts through a deep valley and a limited view of the falls, an old bridge, and remains of an unmaintained 1920s era road can be viewed from the overlook. The Pit 1 Hydroelectric Powerhouse and a section of the large pipes supplying water for the turbines are also visible from the overlook. The overlook is accessible.

Pit River. Fort Crook. Junk Sculptures. Undeniable signs of the continuing coarsening of America. Sad.

I don't know what happened to that other reply but I can't delete it. Must have picked up a gremlin at one of those places! :-D
DeleteI hope you've moved on from this area, with smoke from the raging wildfires up in those parts. Keeping our fingers crossed down here this summer ....
ReplyDeleteI'm far behind, as usual. We're on the Oregon coast where it's cool and damp. Fingers crossed for you too. Stay safe!
