These museums are a block apart and neither is very big so it’s easy to see both in one afternoon. The Tech Museum is a typical science museum with a lot of hands-on exhibits. The Museum of Art showcases modern and contemporary art with changing exhibits featuring one‑person and thematic group exhibitions.
Both museums are accessible. Some of the hands-on exhibits can not be experienced in a wheelchair.
A free, accessible parking spot is located right in front of the tech museum. It’s long enough for four cars so RVs will fit. We passed by the museum several times during our stay in San Jose and these spaces were always open. The sidewalks and curb cuts are in good condition.
