Grand Coulee Dam Visitor Center

028
Grand Coulee Dam is one of the largest concrete structures in the world, measuring just short of a mile in length. It produces more power than any other dam in the US and and supplies water to irrigate 670,000 acres of farm land. The construction and benefits of the dam are covered along with the destruction of the salmon migration and the flooding of Native American settlements.

Films are shown continuously in the theater. Guided tours of the dam start on the hour. A laser show is held every night in the summer.

The visitor center is accessible. Although we did not attend the laser show it can be viewed from the visitor center or the park so accessibility should be fine. We didn’t tour the dam either but it is accessible if you call ahead.

The parking lot is large enough for any RV.  Dam

    1. If you're in the area definitely go but I wouldn't go out of my way too much. It's kind of - if you seen one dam you've seen them all. :-D
