Gehrke Windmill Garden

      044
Emil Gehrke and his wife, who lived in Grand Coulee for twenty years, collected and assembled discarded items to make over 100 windmills. Originally the windmills decorated the Gehrke’s yard but when Emil died the city moved them to North Dam Park.

The windmills are surround by a chain link fence. A sidewalk around the fence makes it easy for wheelchair users to see the windmills.

The park area is large enough for any RV.  Windmills
