The campground was fairly empty when we visited mid week however, since the park is located at the north end of Napa Valley, I suspect that it gets busy in the summer. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, food cupboards, restrooms with flush toilets and showers, and a swimming pool. The campsites are roomy, shady, and fairly private due to lots of vegetation between the sites.
We camped in site 37 which is a designated accessible site. The table top is extended and the ground is hard packed making rolling around very easy. Many of the parking pads for the other sites are very sloped. We did not check out the visitor center, pool, or any of the trails. Park 38.5533, -122.52572
We've never camped there, tho we know where it is. Usually we stop at Skyline Wilderness Park (or stay at Napa Elks), but this looks like a nice park. How far north are you going?
ReplyDeleteSeattle eventually to see our daughter and son-in-law but first we're stopping off at Medford Oregon to help with a prototype van build - part of Bob Well's project to help women and veterans who don't make enough money to afford skyrocketing rent and mortgage payments.
DeleteCalifornia gets quite crowded during summer, I don't really like going to campgrounds. During the week it's a bit better and during winter usually there is no problem finding spots unless you go to some Beach locations. Those are always crowded. I really like Cali parks though, but they are on the more expensive side.
