Neches Bluff Campground
Texas has very little public land so this free, very quiet, dispersed camping spot is a nice surprise. It’s easy to get to – just a mile off of Route 21. The dirt access road is single lane in good condition with room to pull over for oncoming traffic. The only amenity is a vault toilet.
There are at least three large, flat spots with enough room for any RV. Two of the spots were taken by late afternoon when we visited in the middle of the week so it seems to be a popular place. The camping area loop has a rough area in the middle. Park and walk if you’re unsure about making the entire loop because there’s little room to turn around.

I just found your great blog. I appreciate all the useful information, especially you use of GPS coordinates.

Thanks Garth! We're kind of far behind on technology. We just bought a GPS about a year ago which made me realize that I should put GPS coordinates on my posts. The older posts do not have coordinates but I'm slowly adding them. I'm also adding them to the locations on the maps.
DeleteI really like your blog! We're on our way to the Padre Island area so I'll be checking out your blog for places to go!
Thank you. Keep the rubber side down.
