Some campgrounds are so nice that they deserve many repeat visits. We like this one for the beautiful scenery and quiet location. The sites are fairly close together but bushes and trees provide a lot of privacy. The last loop has the best views plus it’s a no generator zone and a little isolated from the rest of the campground so it’s very tranquil. Another plus is the nightly rate – only $10.00 or $5.00 with a pass.
There are two handicapped sites next to the restroom. The picnic tables benches have been cut down to allow wheelchairs to fit under the tables but other than that they’re no different than all of the other sites. The ground is hard and most of the sites are level so rolling is fairly easy. Campground
Hi Cozygirl! It's kind of expensive but for the location, right on the strip, the KOA at Circus Circus is great. Just a parking lot of a campground but really convenient.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to stay downtown there's a campground at Main Street Station - another parking lot but cheap and very close to Fremont Street.
And you can always stay in one of the campgrounds on Boulder Highway and drive into Vegas.
Camping at Lake Mead is definitely a nice break from the crazy, over-the top atmosphere of Vegas.
Valley of Fire state park is a little farther away but it's a beautiful place to camp.
Have a good time on your trip!
