This is a great state history museum with very nicely done and thought provoking exhibits about Native Americans and early settlers. Industrial and agricultural products from different sections of the state are covered in detail along with the depression of the 1930s, WWII, and women’s suffrage.
The museum is accessible but some of the touch screens are at an angle that makes them hard to see from a seated position. The model train layout is at wheelchair eye level so it’s impossible to see it. Some of the exhibits in the History Lab Learning Center are not accessible.
A small parking lot is located in the rear of the museum. The last space is a handicapped space which is a bit longer than normal. Short RVs will fit. There isn’t any parking for long RVs. There’s a lot on Dock Street about five blocks north of the Museum of Glass where RVs will fit. It’s about 1/2 mile to the history museum from this lot. The sidewalks and curb cuts are in good condition. Museum
