Pete's Draw Campground
This small seven site campground sits high above the North Platte River with several trails that lead down to the water. The first three sites are out in the open with nice views of the river and the hills. The next four are surrounded by sagebrush and other shrubs - more privacy but no view. Amenities include picnic tables under shelters, fire rings, vault toilets, and a boat ramp. The ground is hard packed so rolling is easy. The picnic tables have extended tops. The trails to the water are not accessible. We pushed up the campground entry road hill and walked/rolled about three miles round trip along Grey Reef Road which made a nice trail due to the low amount of traffic. Grey Reef Road is paved but has a lot of potholes. It dead ends shortly after the campground entrance. There are two short bridges that must be crossed. The first one has a weight limit of 13 tons for 2 to 3 axles and the second one has a 6 ton limit for 2 to 3 axles. We didn't notice the 6 ton weight limit when we came in and had no choice but to go over it on our way out. Fortunately our 7 ton RV didn't end up in the gully! Campground 42.57956, -106.68683
