This is a great little campground! It's located on the Yellowstone River but trees block the view from the campsites. There are only eight sites. All are back-in and large enough to park two RVs in the same site. Amenities include picnic tables, fire rings, a boat ramp, vault toilets, a covered shelter, a barbecue smoker, frisbee golf, and a playground. There's no water and although half of the sites have electric boxes they do not appear to be powered.
Camping is free but all campers must get a permit from the Richland County sheriff's office at 300 12th Ave NW, Sidney, MT 59270. The permit is for 3 days even if you're not planning to stay that long so I'm not sure how they keep track of the available sites.
Th ground is hard packed so rolling is fairly easy. The picnic tables have extended tops. Campground 47.75571, -104.08476
Wow, you're moving along! Right close to the ND border. Looks like a good spot to camp, if there's space available.
ReplyDeleteI think it's mostly empty except on weekends.
