Lombard Street in San Francisco gets all the glory but Snake Alley, built in 1894, was the first. The streets are very much the same with hairpin turns, one way traffic, and brick paving. Lombard has three more turns and a lot more traffic.
The view from the top gives a good idea of the tightness of the turns and the steepness of the road. Not a good idea to attempt it with a motorhome! :-D
RV parking is available on the street. Street 40.81227, -91.10548
Not in an RV and not in your chair, either!
ReplyDelete(I don't think I'd even want to walk it!)
It would be a fast and bumpy ride! :-D
