Grass cutting is only maintenance this little roadside rest receives. At one time it had a campground and picnic area but now there’s one picnic table and a fire ring. The campground area is just a loop road. The sign has been removed from US 6 so it’s a little hard to spot the entrance.
According to a sign in the park it is part of a Lands to Park program which gives surplus federal land (not national parks, forest or public domain land) to state and local governments for public parks. The land was part of a Naval Ammunition Depot built during WWII and decommissioned in 1966.
Follow the road to right and park along the loop. Do not drive on the grass or park in the eastern section of the park. All RVs will fit. Campsite 40.58136, -98.29093
