Update 2023 - may have no camping signs This section of the Oregon coast from Brookings to Pistol River is very scenic with many pull offs. I don’t know if overnight parking is legal in these spots but we decided to give it a try - a quiet night with magnificent view!

We "might" come down the coast on our way to Sacramento in a couple of months...if not, I hope we make it to the coast while in California, just depends upon when we get there...shooting for late September, but family stuff might make it earlier and take away Oregon. (I just want to stay away from the heat of the Sacto Valley)
ReplyDeleteGoing south is so much better because you're on the right side of the road for the view and all of the pull offs. We have to do that trip the entire way again some day! Looking forward to yours - hope you get to do some of the coast!
DeleteThere is nothing like the Oregon coast in the summertime! You'll probably have good weather and the views are hard to beat.
