I started making maps keep track of all of the places where we could use our passes to get free or discounted admissions. All of the placemarks and pushpins have clickable links to the attraction's official web page. I've tried to get each location as accurate as possible and right on the parking lot if there is one.
Besides the attractions associated with the passes, I'm also including public campgrounds that are convenient to the attractions. Also national parks with and without campgrounds. I've added some misc. attractions that aren't associated with passes, simply because they look like places that we might be interested in seeing. Since my main criteria is finding wheelchair accessible attractions, I haven't included some attractions such as caves, hiking trails, and most amusement parks but if you download the maps you can include them. Another criteria that I consider is the cost so many of the attractions are free or under $10.00.
You can download the maps and personalize them to suit your interests and travel route. Just sign up for a Google account. Look for the three dots on the right hand side of the red heading on a map that you want to save. Left click and chose the "copy map: option". Once the map is in your maps you can edit and add comments to all of the attractions, add your own placemarks, and delete placemarks.
More maps will be added as we travel. You can also click on the little map at the bottom of each post. Doing that will bring up a state map with all of the attractions in the state. The blog post attraction should be centered on the map and marked with a placemark.
