The trail is wide, smooth concrete and circles the lake making a six mile loop. There’s a short cut that goes across the southern part of the lake on a narrow spit of land and cuts off a couple of miles but the trail down to it is very steep.
The terrain is gently rolling and wheelchair users may need assistance.
Parking lots are located at a number of points along the trail. We parked at the one at the end of Cornhusker Road. RVs will fit backed up over the grass or parked across the spaces. Trail 41.16162, -96.15141
Outside of Omaha? Hope you could get around the lake in this heat! Looks very peaceful!
ReplyDeleteWe waited until late afternoon, just before the sun set, so we didn't make it very far around. Two more days of heat then 67 for a high!
