Natural History Museum of Utah
More fossils of different dinosaur species have been discovered in Utah than any other state and it has an almost complete record of prehistoric life so every museum has a dinosaur section. This one is no exception but it also features two Native American galleries, one focusing on prehistoric people with displays of items found in caves and archeological digs; the other focusing on current Native Americans and their customs, traditions and artwork. Minerals found in Utah, the environment of the Great Salt Lake, and the forces of nature that created Utah are also covered.
The museum is accessible. Ramps lead from one floor to the next so it’s easiest to start on the top floor and work your way down. There are also elevators.
RVs will fit in the lot if backed up over the grass or parked lengthwise across the spaces. It’s an uphill trek to the entrance but passengers may be dropped off at the door.
