Osborne Bay-WDFW
I have mixed feelings about this Washington Dept. of Fish and Wldlife campsite. The location is gorgeous with camping right on the lake and towering cliffs as a backdrop but some of the spots were littered with empty beer cases and other trash. It also appears to get a good deal of ATV use. We would not try camping here on a weekend.
The gravel road coming off of Hwy 155 goes for about 1 1/2 miles before it dead ends at a large turn around. Dirt roads loop off of the gravel road. The first dirt turn off is a boat put in. The next section is fenced so continue to the loops. Some campsites are located on the loops. Some near the end are right off of the gravel road. The roads and campsites are a mixed bag – some sites are level, some have shade, some of the roads are very rutted – be prepared for anything. No amenities are provided.
Due to the condition of the dirt roads and overgrowth of the trees near the end of the gravel road this site is not big rig friendly. Camp
