Dick & Jane's Spot
When artists Dick and Jane ( their names really are Dick and Jane and they had a dog named Spot ) bought this house in 1978 it was an ordinary brownish gray. Not any more! Colored reflectors were one of Dick’s favorite mediums. Jane seems to have done most of the painting. Over 40 other artists have contributed work to make the house and yard a feast for your eyes.
Most of the house and yard can be seen from a seated position. There isn't any public access to the yard or house interior but viewing from the sidewalk is good. The sidewalks and curb cuts are in good condition.
Parking is available along the 1st Street or, if you have a car, in the parking lot next to the house. Spot

Interesting place...looks like you are catching up on your blog too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip on Heart of the Hills Campground! Our spot has been perfect, we are staying another night with fingers crossed that our tanks hold out (it will be four days here and one at the casino since last being empty). But the peace and quiet and shade and smells and views around this park are just GREAT! It sure cleared out today, but our neighbors are so far away from us we nearly feel alone. --Dave
Glad you're enjoying the campground! We love national parks and usually the campgrounds are very nice.
DeleteWe can get five days out of our tanks but that's about it.
We really enjoy this type of creativity too!
