Located on the west side of Hwy 49, just north of Jackson, CA., this overlook features interpretive signs covering the history of the area, memorials to 47 miners who died in 1922 after a fire trapped them in
Argonaut Mine, and a view of the headframe of the Kennedy Mine.
Everything is accessible.
The overlook lot is large enough for any RV but traffic flows one way, from north to south, and it can not be entered if you are driving northbound.
