Washington County Museum of Fine Arts
This is a small museum with a very nice collection of art focusing primary on 19th century and early 20th century American artists. The museum is surrounded by a city park which features man-made lakes and shaded, paved trails.
The museum is accessible. We didn’t go on the trails because of cold weather but they look like they’re smooth and well maintained.
The museum parking lot is small but there are a few long spaces at the far end. RVs will also fit in the adjoining lot if they’re parked across the spaces. A paved path connects the lots. Museum

Looks like you are making your way to the DC area....with this storm headed up through the north-east, you sure don't want to take a chance driving in that. Enjoy your Thanksgiving. --Dave
ReplyDeleteYep, we're over the mountains and heading to my sister's today. Snow is not our favorite form of precipitation! :-D
DeleteHave a good Thanksgiving!
I see you are starting to head south. We will join you heading south on Monday. Hope we can hook up in FL. Travel safe.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see that you're getting out of the cold! We're in DC until Monday then onto Florida. I'm sure that you'll beat us down there. Unless it gets really cold we're planning on meandering down along the coast.
DeleteI am heading down to MS. next week for a month and then over to FL., let me know if you find some cheap CG's there.
ReplyDeleteHi Joey! It's hard to find cheap campgrounds in Florida but there some. How far south are you going? Indian Prairie Canal Recreation Area near Lake Okeechobee has a small free campground but it's closed from Monday evening until Wednesday morning so you can't even stay for an entire week.
DeleteThe best place to look are the national forests. There are some really nice campgrounds and with your half rate price they're pretty cheap. We stayed at Lake Dorr Recreation Area in Ocala NF - 6 bucks at half price.
Let us know where you're staying. We'd like to get together if we end up near each other.
