Museum of Natural Science
The displays in this museum cover the natural history of Mississippi from ancient sea creatures to modern invasive species. There are also many aquariums with native fish, turtles, and alligators plus dry containers for snakes, including one with two heads!
The interior of the museum is accessible but there are various obstacles outside. The parking lot is sloped and there isn’t a curb cut to the sidewalk at the handicapped parking spots. There’s one at the drop off spot by the entrance but it’s an uphill trek along the road to get to it. The doors that lead to the trails outside are very heavy and once outside a latch must be turned at the same time as the door is pulled to get back inside. These doors are locked 15 minutes before closing time and then the only way back to the parking lot is by a set of steps. Only a small portion of one of the trails is accessible. Museum
