8,000 years ago Grimes Point was on a lakeshore and the Native Americans living there chipped petroglyphs through the dark varnish of large boulders. A wide graveled trail with interpretive signs winds among the boulders. The trail isn’t accessible for most wheelchair users because of the gravel, slope, and unevenness of the ground. It might be possible with an energetic helper.
The parking area which is large enough for RVs, has interpretative signs, handicapped toilets, and picnic tables with one bench removed to allow wheelchairs to fit under the tables. Grimes Point
