Big Cypress National Preserve
There are very few handicapped accessible activities in the preserve. The main activities are off road riding, hunting, hiking, and canoeing.
We drove across the Tamiami Trail and stopped for the night at Monument Campground. The sites were level, fairly easy rolling on the dry grass. The tables don’t have much of an overhang on the ends.
We stopped at the Oasis Visitor center which is very small with just a few exhibits of stuffed animals. There’s also a handicapped accessible bathroom and a boardwalk. The boardwalk is in good condition, smooth and easy to roll on. It follows the canal along the road for a short distance and you view alligators and birds. The top railing is at eye height and there are no sections dropped lower so the only way to see is by peeking through the upright posts. Big Cypress
