Petroglyph Provincial Park

IMG_6111

Large slabs of sandstone are covered with carvings created over 1,000 years ago by First Nations people. The carvings are weathered and many are covered with moss so it’s not easy to see them. Concrete casts of some of the carvings have been made to provide a clearer image.

The park is not accessible due to very steep trails.

The parking lot is large enough for any RV. It can only be accessed while driving north so when driving south you must get off at the next exit to turn around and go north.  Park  49.1416, -123.92727

  1. On that path in the last picture it is almost like they said, "Hey, let's put a couple of large rocks right here on the path to make it hard on Karen."

    1. I think you're right! We actually did make it past the rocks and up the very steep hill to the petroglyphs but it's not something I'd recommend.
