Windsor City Park Campground

001
We’ve managed to avoid the bad weather that the rest of the country is experiencing but we’re still too cold. Time to move a little faster on our way south which brought us to this little city park in North Carolina – full hookups for only $7.00 a night! 2017 - now $10.00 - $20.00. One of my favorite sites for finding  campgrounds is the Ultimate US Public Campground Project. The creator of the site has done an excellent job of gathering information from many different sources to compile the best and most complete website of public campgrounds that I’ve found.

This campground is located at the end of West Elm Street in Windsor, North Carolina. It doesn’t have a dump station or restrooms so it’s only practical for RVers. Most of the sites have a concrete patio. There are a few tables and grills in the middle of the campground loop. A small boat ramp managed by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is located next to the campground. Click on the map for the location. Campground

  2. Was wondering if that cold weather was starting to get to you? We are in Sacramento area for another twenty days (or less by a day or two), and we have been pretty cold at night....22-25 degrees for the past two nights. With our Delonghi Oil-filled heater and the occasional pot of water simmering on the stove....only ran the motorhome heater a couple of mornings now for a short time. Gotta have that electricity, that's for sure. Hope you make it to warm ole Florida pretty soon. --Dave
