Monument Valley Park Trails

Untitled-TrueColor-01
Monument Valley Park is a two mile linear park along Monument Creek. Pikes Peak Greenway runs along both sides of the creek and paved paths meander through grassy areas with playgrounds and picnic tables. The Greenway is 16 miles one way with various surfaces including crushed stone, concrete and asphalt. The section in Monument Park is hard packed, finely crushed stone. Since the Greenway runs on both sides of the creek through the park it’s possible to make a loops of different lengths by taking one of several bridges that cross the creek.

Two interesting stops along the trail in the park are the historic Van Briggle Pottery building and the Horticultural Art Society Demonstration Garden. The pottery is no longer in business but the building is very unique.

All of the trails through the park are accessible.

Parking for RVs is available along Mesa Road. There’s also a small parking lot where Mesa Road meets Glen Ave.  Park

    1. :-D Yeah, I thought that too! I'm not sure about the name but I think that it might be referring to the rocks in Garden of the Gods which aren't even visible from the park.

    1. We've been watching the news coverage too. It's amazing to see all of the water poring through the areas that we've visited over the last few weeks. Fortunately where we are now, south of Denver, there's been very little flooding.

I'm glad to see that you're feeling better. Hope it all works out okay and you can get back on the road soon!
