Hanging out in Quartzsite

                              010

Tony caught a really bad cold. He’s had chicken soup for four meals in a row! One of the rubber tramps went to town and picked up some cold medicine for him (nice people here – thanks!) but we’re not going anywhere for awhile.

In the meantime we’re sitting up here on BLM, a little elevated from town and the views are great!

  1. Might be a lighter version of the flu. Been seeing LOTS of sick people, with a persistent cough, weak and tired, maybe a day or two of feeling hot. Takes two weeks or more to feel better. I had that myself 5 weeks ago... Hoping you feel better soon!

  2. Hope you feel better soon. Try some elderberry with honey and (raw, or real) apple cider vinegar. You can use it on your salad if you don't like the vinegar (doesn't taste too strong). If you want the real recipe to make your own elixer, I'll send it.

I LOVE the museum pass idea, will definately do that one.

Thank you! Really do hope you're feeling better very soon.

  8. It was fantastic to finally meet you! I do wish it had happened sooner than 30 minutes before you had to leave. I hope our paths cross again.

BTW thank you for sharing that and reassuring/reminding me that the feeling is mutual, Tony. Smug I am not. Grateful I am.

    That's a great sunset photo!

    Best wishes and safe journeys!

  10. ohhh - I'm the nice Rubber Tramp that went to town for cold medicine. :))) Hi! I just found your blog. I'm bad at finding people & staying connected other than facebook - my 'hood'! How are you guys? Any plans to head up to Idaho? I'll be here in the Wood River Valley pretty much most of the summer til mid Oct. My family is here - my daughter & grandson - and it's beautiful country, so it's fine. I've been housesitting & have another job in Sept., but for the next 5 weeks will be camping myself, & finding water to row my new little inflatable kayak on. But mostly playing with my grandson when I can. I hope to see you both this winter, if not before. If you do head this way my e-mail is amma_maw (at) yahoo.com Much love, m.a.

  11. Thanks again for the cold medicine! I'm so glad to hear from you. We've been wondering how you've been doing and what you've been up to. We don't have plans to be in Idaho in the near future but it is a great place to spend the summer.

Enjoy your camping trip! We'll be in Quartzsite again this winter. Hope to see you and all of the other tramps there!
